Coming Home!

Back in Los Angeles after a fourteen year hiatus in Sacramento. It's a lot familiar but a little strange at the same time. Going to the Mint this Friday to see Lukas Rossi....an excellent way to celebrate my homecoming I think ;)

Feel The Music!

I have been an avid fan of Lukas Rossi since his first performance on the show Rock Star: Supernova. Now even though I have an ecclectic taste in music, most of my favorites tend to be the bands that have been around as long as me: INXS,The Smiths,REM, and U2 just to name a few; it was a surprise to me that someone like Lukas Rossi could quickly become one of my favorite artists of all time.

Well I have trekked around the U.S.A. in support of Lukas, going to eleven Rock Star: Supernova concerts and so many acoustic shows that I have lost count (okay...I choose to not count them). One might think I have seen all that Lukas has...that is until last Friday at Crash Mansion in LA.



The debut of Lukas' new band STARS DOWN was nothing short of amazing. Each song had it's own unique sound and could potentially be a hit single. Lukas has incorporated that sultry velvet voice I love with the heavier rock sound reminiscent of one my favorite songs from his back catalog, Riddled. All I kept thinking is that THIS is the "rockstar" Lukas that I have been wanting to see for the past two years... This man is a chameleon, a perfect blend of rock, acoustic, and emo...impossible to ignore!


Jon Jamieson, drummer and long-time friend of Lukas is such a perfect fit and German Briseno is kind of hard not to watch as he kicks it with his bass guitar...his back up vocals are spot on. I also love Lou Dawson's piano and hope to see her at some of the other shows too.

I find myself once again anxious for the next show. I am glad to be a friend of Lukas Rossi and proud to be a fan of Lukas Rossi's STARS DOWN!!
